Imam's demise source of sorrow

Leadership Assembly of Experts issued a statement on Sunday to mark the anniversary of the demise of late Imam Khomeini (PBUH) which brought sorrow for the world Muslims.

The statement read that the late Imam Khomeini (PBUH) called on the world Muslims to exercise vigilance in order to demonstrate a portion of the hidden powers of Islam in dealing with global arrogance.

Late Imam Khomeini (PBUH) was an advocate of justice and loved the world oppressed and believed that dignity and authority of Islamic system depended on unity and solidarity of the people, officials as well as all political wings, said the statement.

"There is no doubt that marking the demise of such brilliant character would be regarded as a crushing response to atrocities of America in Iraq, occupied Palestine and Afghanistan," the statement pointed out.

The statement also offered condolences on the occasion to the Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei and other Ulema and theological schools and wished dignity and prosperity for great Iranian nation.
