Azerbaijan to hold Iran cultural week
The Republic of Azerbaijan is slated to hold an Iranian cultural week, introducing Persian arts and handicrafts in the cities of Baku and Ganja.
The event will also include Iranian film screening sessions, live music performances, puppet shows and art exhibitions, Iran’s ambassador to Baku Muhammad-Baqer Bahrami said in a press conference on Thursday.
The Azeri capital of Baku will host the festival from October 3 to 5, 2011, and Ganja will hold it for two days on October 6 and 7.
Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Muhammad Husseini will also attend the event, Bahrami announced.
The Iranian cities of Tehran and Tabriz hosted the Azerbaijan Cultural Festival last year which was attended by Azeri Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev.
