No apology to Turkey over flotilla attack
A Zionist regime official says there will be no apologies to Turkey over the deadly flotilla attack despite a UN report blaming the regime’s troops for using excessive force in the incident.
According to Press TV, stressing the importance of Tel Aviv-Ankara ties, a senior source in the Zionist regime Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said on Friday that Tel Aviv hopes to mend its damaged relations with Ankara with a means other than expressing apology.
A UN inquiry into the deadly incident has also blamed Israeli troops for using excessive force after boarding the aid ship.
The long awaited UN report also known as the Palmer report noted, "Forensic evidence showing that most of the deceased were shot multiple times, including in the back, or at close range".
The senior Israeli official remarks came shortly after Ankara expelled the Israeli ambassador to the country and suspended all remaining military agreements with Israel in response to Tel Aviv’s refusal to apologize for the deadly attack.
The Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu made the announcement in a press conference on Friday and said, ”The time has come for Israel to pay for its stance that sees it above international laws and disregards human conscience."
