Tehran's tourism expo kicks off
Tehran's handicrafts and tourism exhibition has kicked off, introducing various cultural ethnicities and regional traditions in the Iranian capital.
The ten-day event presents handiworks, such as carpet weaving and woodwork, as well as local food and souvenirs from different provinces in 100 pavilions.
“The event is aimed at preserving the cultural diversity and traditions of different Iranian ethnicities,” exhibition organizer Gholam-Ali Kazemi told.
Visitors can also learn about regional music and the folk music of Iran through various performances held by local musicians from all around the country.
