Four killed, 22 wounded in fresh Iraq bomb attacks

bombs explosions in the iraqi city

At least four people have been killed and 22 others wounded in three separate bomb attacks across Iraq, police and medics say.

Police announced that the two roadside bombs hit the al-Shuaala neighborhood of the capital Baghdad on Saturday, killing four people and wounding 15 others.

Seven people also were injured after three mortars targeted a police station in the town of al-Musayyab, 90 km (55 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

The attacks came two days after a series of attacks claimed the lives of about 38 people in the capital and across the country.

Iraq is less violent than at the height of that conflict in 2006-07, but bombings and killings still happen daily, often aimed at Shia Muslim areas and local security forces.
