دوستان عزیز در این تاپیک قصد داریم متن های انگلیسی موجود در انجمن را جمع کرده و یک ساماندهی به آنها بدهیم وان شا الله اگر کسی متنی داشت در این قسمت ارائه خواهد کرد در واقع هدف ایجاد تاپیکی برای reading است

A worldwide survey was conducted by the UN and the only question asked was:

Would you please give your honest opinion about solutions to the food shortage in the rest of the world?

And the survey was a huge failure, because:

In Africa they didn’t know what ‘food’ meant.
In India they didn’t know what ‘honest’ meant.
In Europe they didn’t know what ‘shortage’ meant.
In China they didn’t know what ‘opinion’ meant.
In the Middle East they didn’t know what ‘solution’ meant.
In South America they didn’t know what ‘please’ meant.
And in the USA they didn’t know what ‘the rest of the world’ meant

When God created woman he was working late on the 6th day

An angel came by and said: “Why spend so much time on that one?”
And the Lord answered: “Have you seen all the specifications I have to meet to shape her?"
“She must be washable, but not made of plastic, have more than 200 moving parts which all must be replaceable, she must function on all kinds of food, she must be able to embrace several kids at the same time, give a hug that can heal anything from a bruised knee to a broken heart and she must do all this with only two hands”.

The angel was impressed. “Just two hands .... Impossible! “And this is the standard model?!
“Too much work for one day.... Wait until tomorrow and then complete her“.
“I will not”, said the Lord. “I am so close to completing this creation, which will be the favorite of my heart”.
“She cures herself when sick and she can work 18 hours a day”.

The angel came nearer and touched the woman.
But you have made her so soft, Lord.” “She is soft", said the Lord, “But I have also made her strong. You can’t imagine what she can endure and overcome. “

“Can she think?" the angel asked. 
The Lord answered:
“Not only can she think, she can reason and negotiate."

The angel touched the woman’s cheek.
“Lord, it seems this creation is leaking! You have put too many burdens on her.” 
“She is not leaking .... It’s a tear,” the Lord corrected the angel.
“What’s it for?" asked the angel.
And the Lord said:
“Tears are her way of expressing her grief, her doubts, her love, her loneliness, her suffering and her pride.”

This made a big impression on the angel; “Lord, you are genius.
You thought of everything. The woman is indeed marvelous!"
Indeed she is!
Woman has strengths that amaze man. She can handle trouble and carry heavy burdens.

She holds happiness, love and opinions.
She smiles when she feels like screaming.
She sings when she feels like crying, cries when she is happy and laughs when she is afraid.
She fights for what she believes in.
She stands up against injustice.
She doesn’t take “no” for an answer, when she can see a better solution.

She gives herself so her family can thrive.

She takes her friend to the doctor if she is afraid.
Her love is unconditional.
She cries when her kids are victorious.

She is happy when her friends do well.
She is glad when she hears of a birth or a wedding.

Her heart is broken when a next of kin or friend dies.
But she finds the strength to get on with life.
She knows that a kiss and a hug can heal a broken heart.

But there is only one thing wrong with her… All the angels got surprised and stayed silently… Lord continued:

”She forgets what she is worth...”

Hip-Hop Style

Teenagers who listen to the same music have a common look. One hot style in music and fashion is hip-hop. Simply put, hip-hop is a type of urban music with a heavy beat. Typical hip-hop fashions are loose fitting street clothes. The style includes baggy pants, sweatshirts, hiking boots, basketball caps (usually worn backward), jackets with sports logos and expensive athletic shoes. In the hip-hop style boys and girls often dress in the same way.

Why Motivation Is Not Enough

When you first set a goal, you"re usually very motivated and excited about achieving your objective. However, motivation alone is not enough.

The problem with motivation is that it fluctuates on a daily basis. One day you"re incredibly motivated and the next day you lose motivation completely. Here"s what a graph of motivation against time looks like for most people.

If you depend on motivation to reach your objective, it"s quite likely that you"ll give up on your goal during a period of low motivation.

The real secret of success is to adopt an attitude that removes motivation from the equation. A good way to do this is to make the decision to do what you need to do even when you don"t feel like doing it.

This is the attitude adopted by Olympic athletes. Contrary to popular belief, elite athletes do not bound out of bed every morning eager to do their training. Like everyone else, sometimes they are motivated and sometimes they are not. What sets them apart from most people is that they have made the decision to do what they need to do even when they don"t feel like doing it.

So today I"d like to encourage you to review your goals and make the decision to do what you need to do on a daily basis even when you don"t feel like doing it.

 When your motivation is low, instead of saying:

"I just don"t feel like doing this today!" Develop the habit of saying:

"I just don"t feel like doing this today BUT I will do it anyway!"

When you adopt this attitude and commit yourself to taking action even when you don"t feel like it, you eliminate motivation as a limiting factor in your success and greatly increase the chances of making your dreams a reality.

That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for whom we become.

That no matter how good a friend is, they are going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I believe…

That just because some one doesn"t love you the way you want them to, doesn"t mean they don"t love you with all they have.

That it"s taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

I believe…

That you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

I believe…

That sometimes when I"m angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn"t mat give me the right to be cruel.

I believe…

That it isn"t always enough to be forgiven by others. Some times you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I believe…

That life is more precious than money will ever be able to be.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.

MORAL:

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

Long ago in a small, far away village, there was a place known as the House of 1000 Mirrors. A small, happy little dog learned of this place and decided to visit. When he arrived, he bounced happily up the stairs to the doorway of the house. He looked through the doorway with his ears lifted high and his tail wagging as fast as it could. To his great surprise, he found himself staring at 1000 other happy little dogs with their tails wagging just as fast as his. He smiled a great smile, and was answered with 1000 great smiles just as warm and friendly. As he left the house, he thought to himself, "This is a wonderful place. I will come back and visit it often."

In this same village, another little dog, who was not quite as happy as the first one, decided to visit the house. He slowly climbed the stairs and hung his head low as he looked into the door. When he saw the 1000 unfriendly looking dogs staring back at him, he growled at them and was horrified to see 1000 little dogs growling back at him. As he left, he thought to himself, "That is a horrible place, and I will never go back there again."
