Veteran Iranian artist and jewelry designer Mohammad Negini has participated in Turkey’s Golden Hands Festival held in the historical city of Istanbul.

Negini will present his unique jewelry and gemstone designs during the 10-day event, which will run until August 8, 2010, CHTN reported.

The 57-year-old heuristic artist began working on gemstones in 1987 and is the only person, who has been granted Iran’s highest art certificate.

He has participated in numerous international festivals and topped Iran’s first Precious Stones Festival in 1998.

His works were also displayed during an exhibition at Tehran’s Sa’ad Abad Cultural Complex in 2008, which showcased pieces of jewelry and artworks, made of gemstones such as lapis lazuli, pearl and jasper.

Organized by Beyoglu Municipality, the Golden Hands Festival introduces traditional handicrafts and artworks in an effort to promote handmade traditional art.
