President: National registration of Persian Gulf is presenting a true image of today’s world
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here on Friday that national registration of Persian Gulf is reminding a fact and presenting a true image of today’s world.
Addressing a ceremony to mark Persian Gulf National Day, he added that some imagine that national registration of Persian Gulf is not a reaction and controversy over the name of the Persian Gulf, but these are so minor issues to be placed on the Iranian nation’s agenda.
Stating that the dispute is not about the name, the president further noted name only serves as sign and guide.
He further said that the controversy is about the culture and management. Of course it is meant the sort of culture and management that would govern the entire world, he added.
Commenting on the plots of the enemies in the Persian Gulf, he said that they are seeking to pretend that the region is insecure and they should come to the region to uphold security.
This is while they are afraid of the culture and civilization of the region.
Referring to the reign of the Cyrus, Ahmadinejad said that 2,500 years ago, he issued a verdict the first item of which was to abolish slavery.
This is while the Americans 180 years ago reached the same after wars and bloodsheds, he noted.
The second item was the freedom for all irrespective of their religion and race, he said, noting that today the so-called advocates of human rights and freedom are seeking to dominate the nations and plunder their assets.
