The message by Dr. Ali-Muhammadi’s students in reaction to his assassination

martyr masoud ali-muhammadi

Martyr Masoud Ali-Muhammadi known as Master Ali-Muhammadi was the professor of physics at the University of Tehran and a senior scientist in the field of nuclear technology. He was martyred at the age of 50 by Mossad agents while leaving home due to a blast caused by a remote-controlled bomb. His main specialties were elementary particles, high energies and cosmology.

Masoud Ali-Mohammadi was born on August 26, 1959 in the village of Kan in the vicinity of Tehran.

When Dr. Ali-Mohammadi was martyred, the ministry of science, research and technology released a statement expressing regret over the suspicious blast offering condolences to the family of Dr. Ali-Muhammadi as well as the country’s academic community.

The students of martyr Ali-Muhammadi (graduates of B.S. and M.S. of the faculty of physics of the University of Tehran) studying doctorate of physics overseas at different world universities in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia and the Far East issued a joint statement condemning the act of assassination announcing that it is regretful to see such a painful eventuality for so many years of research and education in a field of science such as theoretical physics which requires many years of serious efforts and naturally innate talents. Of course, understanding the depth of this catastrophe is very difficult and impossible for narrow-minded, biased and greedy individuals.

The Chairman of the Assembly of Experts and the Expediency Council, Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani issued a message of condolence. Part of the message describes the cowardly assassination of this scientist as the beginning of a new line of conspiracies.

Former president, Seyed Muhammad Khatami also issued a message describing Dr. Ali-Muhammadi as the offspring of this great nation and a prominent scientist and a committed and skillful scholar who served this nation in the field of science terming his martyrdom as yet another manifestation of the ugly image of terrorism. It added by saying that the dirty hand that perpetrated this crime is undoubtedly the enemy of Iran and the Iranian nation and seeks to create and spread a crisis which is harmful to everyone.

110 world university professors sent a letter to human rights organizations calling for an independent follow-up of Dr. Ali-Muhammadi’s assassination by these organizations.
